The Paediatric Global MSK Task Force acknowledges the importance of children and young people in a life course approach to optimising MSK health for all.
It is estimated that MSK problems affect 1 in 8 children and young people including trauma, orthopaedic, rheumatic and congenital conditions as well as the consequences of obesity.
The aims of Paediatric Global MSK Task Force are:
To raise awareness and describe the impact of MSK conditions on the lives of children and young people.
To identify and share exemplar ‘models of good practice’ to address unmet need with focus on models of clinical care and education and training of the workforce.
To promote healthy joints and bones in healthy children through diet, exercise and avoidance of injury.
