National Alliance Networks
G-MUSC has worked with many countries to develop a coordinated approach to advocacy by establishing a network that bring together all the relevant groups concerned with musculoskeletal care including communities, patients, healthcare providers and researchers. These networks have often been called “National Alliance Networks (NANs)” and have been used in over 60 countries throughout the world to successfully influence policy at times when decisions are being made that affect the services provided. Through this consistent awareness of policy and coming together influence policy these Alliances have been effective in increasing access to prevention and evidence based care for individuals across the world.
As this has been such an effective mechanism to improve access and care, G-MUSC has taken the learnings from the successful initiatives and has developed a NAN development toolkit which provides guidance for forming and developing a National Alliance Network. The latest version of the toolkit is available by clicking here
